  COLLEGE COURSE:  Technology studying sewing for making professional costumes
  HOBBIES:  Dance all types, sports including tennis and running, basketball, volleyball.  I cook well but do not like it  
    How do you think college will make a difference for you?   College helps to prepare you for all of life and gives you a professional career to help you for the future
  Where do you want to be in five years?  I would like to go on to study in the university to get a higher degree and I would like to get married and have 2 children
  What's your greatest dream?  To be a professional accountant

  COLLEGE COURSE:   Culinary College
  HOBBIES:  Walking, watching TV, playing computer games, shopping, and any sports that use balls, basketball, volleyball 
  What do you like about college so far?The practicum
   and cooking professionally.   I do not like the study of the specifics of equipment but do want to know how to use it
  What is it like where you live now?    Good I have lived here for a long time and am ready to live in a different place, maybe with friends but I think it might be better to live with my

  Where do you want to be in five years?  I want to be working somewhere in Moscow

  COLLEGE COURSE:  College of construction studying interior design
  HOBBIES: Dance, football (soccer), table tennis, going for walks with friends, computer games, TV, being a teacher's aide, to paint everything I see and horses
  What do you like about college so far?   I like to study at my college, the teachers are very good.  I feel like I am treated as an adult, not like a child and I have choices and freedom
  How do you think college will make a difference for you?    Opportunity

  Where do you want to be in five years?   Married and working in a special company for interior design
  What's your greatest dream?  To make a good salary and be able to spend time on weekends with horses

   AGE: 17
  COLLEGE COURSE:  College of construction, fur design and making winter clothes
  HOBBIES: Reading; especially about women detectives, walking with friends, resting/sleep when not in school or studying
  What are the other students like? I like them very much and I go for walks with all 20 at times!
  Who has influenced you? Lydia the assistant director of the orphanage because I trust her and feel like she is responsible and open and kind and knows
   a lot
  Where do you want to be in five years? I do not see myself married in five years.  I want to go on to higher education because it will help me to have a more secure future. Not just to be a designer of clothes but to be an owner or manager

   AGE: 18
  COLLEGE COURSE:  Culinary college
  HOBBIES: Sports, soccer, biking, walking by myself to think about life and the future.  I also like to cook
  What are the other students like? It is difficult for me to initiate contacts and to build friendships. I feel older than the other students and that they have different interests.  I have only one friend at the college who is Yulia from 105.  I like to study at 105 better because I have more friends there.  I am sure that in the future I will find friends and college with give me a future profession 
  How do you think college will make a difference for you?   I feel it will be good for me to participate in college and understand how other people are and act
  Who has influenced you?    Nobody influences me.  If problems arise, I try to solve them myself but if I need help, I would ask either Tatyana the director of the orphanage or Lydia
  the assistant director because I trust them and feel they have much knowledge

  NAME: Tanya
  AGE: 17
  COLLEGE COURSE: College of construction, fur design and make winter clothes
  HOBBIES: Folk dancing; for the last 4 years I am a part of a group that dances in competition and usually wins.  Movies; scary is preferred
  What are the other students like?  They are cool.  There are only girls in my group and they are from different schools but several are from orphanages as well.  We are afraid about studying things like math and physics next year because we are afraid we may be behind compared to the other kids
  How do you think college will make a difference for you?   More freedom, more respect that we will get as adults.  More conversations with different people, more opportunities to make friends with people that share interests instead of just at the orphanage where our choices are more limited.   I feel things I can’t put into words.  A new world is opening up to me
  Where do you want to be in five years?  I plan to open my own company/store with Lena to produce and sell our own pieces
